Deadline for abstract submission: April 23th 2008

The Organizing Committee invites you to submit abstracts for poster presentation. No proffered papers/platform sessions will be held at this Congress.

Notification of Receipt of Abstracts

An email confirmation will be sent upon submission of your paper to the email address you provided, specifying the abstract number and title. If you do not receive notification of receipt of your abstract to your confirmed email address, please follow up with the Scientific Program Secretariat - forum@ganep.com.br

Review and Notification to Authors

All abstracts will be reviewed. You will be informed by email of the acceptance or rejection of your abstract by 30th April 2008. Only the person identified as the Submitter will receive this notification.

Abstract Disclosure Form

Scientific material must be original, not previously published, nor currently accepted for publication or presentation at another meeting. A signed Abstract Disclosure Form is required at time of submission of the abstract.

How to submit your abstract

Preparation of Abstract

1. All abstracts must be submitted in English
2. The maximum length is 3600 characters.
3. The title should be in capital letters and bold print. Do not centralize.
4. The authors' family names in full, name in initials, their institutions, cities and countries should be listed immediately beneath the abstract title, typed in upper and lower case and single-spaced without using full-stops. The presenter's name is to be underlined.
5. The text of the abstract must include headings such as "Background & Aims", "Materials and Methods", "Results" and "Conclusion". These section headings should appear in bold.

Poster Presentation

1. You are provided with a one-sided panel board (white in colour) with dimensions of 90 cm (width) x 120 cm (height). You are not required to use up the entire space.
2. Posters will be display for only one full day, after which the posters should be removed within the stipulated time. Presenters are asked to be on hand for discussion during lunch of their confirmed presentation date.
3. Presenters are fully responsible for display and removal of their posters at the respective locations. The Organizing Committee will not be liable for any loss or damage to the posters during the display.
4. Velcro tapes are supplied by the Secretariat to mount the posters on the assigned panels. No nails are allowed on the panels.
5. When preparing text and illustrations, bear in mind that the posters will be viewed from a distance of about 1m.

Registration Fee

There is no fee for submission of abstracts, however all presenters are required to register as a FULL DELEGATE and pay the Congress registration fee in order for the abstract to be included in the book of abstracts and to present the poster on site. Registration forms and payment by presenters of accepted abstracts must reach the Conference Secretariat no later than 23th April 2008 in order to publish the abstract in the Book of Abstracts.
